BATEMANS Bay has been earmarked as one of two sites on the NSW coast for a groundbreaking new study that will look at the potential impacts of long-term climate change.
Natural Resources Minister Ian Macdonald said the study would use a combination of field data analysis, sophisticated computer modelling, and socio-economic modelling to measure climate change impacts and adaptation measures for the Clyde River/Batemans Bay system and the Wooli Wooli River system.
He said the findings would then be used to determine potential climate change impacts on estuary and beach systems along the entire NSW coastline.
